During the reporting period, IOM recorded 28 Men rescued in Zuwara (13 April), five bodies retrieved in Sabarath (18 April), 23 rescued in Tripoli (13 April) as well as 101 rescued and 5 bodies retrieved in Garaboli (15 April). The cumulative total of persons rescued in 2017 amounts to 4,129. So far this year the number of arrivals by sea to Italy along the Mediterranean route adds up to 36,883 and the number of deaths along this route to 1,002.
